CEREAL CROPS DRYER ZAFFRANI

Postharvest handling is one of the labor-intensive processes in grain production. Thus, farmers should organize in-line grain handling in such way to increase labor productivity dramatically.

Grain drying becomes popular nowadays due to using high-productive combines, therefore reducing harvesting time.

Application of high-productive dryers reduces time to prepare grain for long-term storage, decreases grain losses in the field during harvesting, allows transferring grain from the field to the storage warehouse almost without losses in the shortest possible time. It also allows preparing grain for further handling or profitable sale in the market.

This is especially important during sunflower and maize harvesting that lasts 4-6 weeks in Ukraine as these crops have initially high humidity: sunflower from 17%, maize from 33%, and long-term storage humidity is 7% for sunflower and 14% for maize.
