"FIELD DAY - 2010"

Field Day tradition is an integral part of the present-day agricultural business all over the world. The reason is that before buying expensive machinery it is necessary to check it operating in the field. Moreover, Field Day is an excellent possibility to learn about new tendencies and landowners’ opinion on present-day agriculture development. Thus, POLETECHNIKA Company holds this annual event. This year Field Day was held on August, 27-28 as usually in  Bat’kivshchina firm fields in Pology city, Zaporozhye region.          

During two days the experts of Bat’kivshchina, one of the leading farm in Zaporozhye region, and POLETEHNIKA Company representatives familiarized our landowners with the world solutions that can help domestic agriculture to develop more quickly and to become more profitable.

The necessity and importance of the event for the Ukrainian southeastern agriculture development is emphasized by changes in crop growing technologies.    

The event scope is increasing every year. It is proved by constant growing of visitors and increased interest to company products. This year 900 farm reperesentatives from Zaporozhye, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Odessa, Kirovograd, Lugansk, Herson, Kiev and the Crimea attended the event.    

 

Seed grain of high quality is the guarantee of good yield  

Vradimir Kuzmich, the LIMAGRAIN company representative, and Oleg Trubilov, Bat’kivshchina chief agronomist, introduced dozens of sunflower hybrids and shared their experience in sunflower growing. All the present could see sowing results.  

  

Crop protection is the guarantee of high quality yield

This year a wide range of chemical CROP-PROTECTING AGENTS, produced by SYNGENTA, AGROSPHERE, AGROCHIMTECHNOLOGY and GREEN EXPRESS, was introduced on the Field Day for the first time. These agents help to get large yield with almost no time, efforts and money expenses.  

Tillage of high quality and timely sowing is the guarantee of high yield

 

The best examples of imported farm machinery from the leading world manufacturers were introduced on the event. Optionally the visitors can get exhaustive information on any machinery: 

 

• a complete range of implements, that covers all tillage stages: CASE IH deep tiller, GREAT PLAINS cultivator, HORSCH discavator. 
• GREAT PLAINS seeders:  : 
• mechanical seeder, that outproduces and exceeds in sowing quality all rivals: plant arrangement and the same laying depth regardless of filed relief.  
• pneumatic planter, that is not worse than mechanical seeder in sowing quality and exceeds it in the following: possibility to work at night and no tillage before sowing.   

   
  

 

«FROM HARVESTING TO SOWING» for 1 hour: 

Deviating from traditional Field Days, this year exhausting machinery presentations were replaced with the complete closed cycle of field operations - «FROM HARVESTING TO SOWING» - for 1 hour:

•  Comparison of  NEW HOLLAND key and rotary combines in harvesting quality.
• Demonstration of unique ZAFFRANI no-row header that harvested sunflower regardless of sowing direction with almost no losses.
• Operation of ZAFFRANI drying unit, that guarantees losses reduction and crop sale at high prices. Harvested sunflower was immediately loaded in the field. The visitors could see how the seeds were dried (for what time and with what diesel fuel consumption).
• Main and surface tillage with HORSCH Joker discavator.
• Cultivation with CASE IH  Tiger Mate II.
• Sowing by traditional, minimum and zero technologies with GREAT PLAINS and Pronto HORSCH pneumatic planters NTA 3510.  
• Demonstration of BERTHOUD Major DPA tractor-towed sprayer and CASE IH Patriot SPX 3330 self-propelled sprayer advantages in operation on complicated relief.  
• Actually breathtaking demonstration of MANITOU loader superpossibilities. Everybody could see capacity and productivity of this machinery during operation with pallets, hay and straw bales, fertilizer big bags, work with crushed stone and even playing basketball!
